What is Roadrunner TBall Smash?

Roadrunner Tball Smash is back! Entering into our 6th year, the program is getting bigger and better!

The Roadrunner TBall Smash is a great children’s summer activity ideal for boys and girls from the Banyule, Nillumbik, Whittlesea and Manningham councils. Families involved with our club come from everywhere, including Lower Plenty, Montmorency, Greensborough, Eltham, Viewbank, Rosanna, Briar Hill, Heidelberg, Mill Park, Watsonia, Diamond Creek, Research, Doncaster and Bulleen.

TBall Smash is a fun way for families, girls and boys to get active and learn new skills using tee ball and baseball as it’s a platform.

Kids and their friends will play different action-packed games involving running, throwing, hitting and catching balls of all sizes and colours....and there even may be the odd high five shared throughout the session (or maybe this year they will be high elbow’s)!

Overview of the program includes:

  • For girls and boys aged 5 – 8. If your child is a little bit older, we can accommodate. We also run what we call “Friday Night Instructional training games” which is a parent pitch format of baseball. We are flexible with where your child plays, so please raise any specific requests with us.
  • Runs over 8 weeks with a break for summer holidays.
    • Friday, November 27th – Friday, December 18th 2020
    • Break for summer holidays and then resume play from Friday, 5 February – Friday 26 February 2021
  • All sessions run from 5:30pm – 6:45pm

Our season kicks off on November 27th. If you'd like to "try before you buy", click here.  This link will ask you to register for one session at no cost. Due to COVID, this registration is mandatory.

A Family Environment

Mums, dads, brothers and sisters are encouraged to get involved. We normally have a bbq each night, but with COVID combined with the fact our clubhouse is being replaced as we speak, we aren’t sure how all of this will work yet. We will keep you posted as we progress.

If you have younger children, there is playground equipment for the younger ones to play on while the big sisters and brothers are smashing it on the ball field.
